You have a right to make an application to an employment tribunal in relation to matters arising out of your employment. The period of submission is dependent on the claim that you may have. The ACAS arbitration scheme provides an alternative in cases of unfair dismissal or flexible working - provided you meet the criteria. Before you reach this stage it is important to exhaust all the internal procedures that your employer has in place and this is best achieved with proper representation in the workplace.
