In order for employee representatives to play a useful part in the consultation process in relation to proposed redundancies, the employer must disclose certain information in writing including:

  1. Reasons for the proposed redundancies.
  2. Description and number of employees affected.
  3. Method by which it is proposed to select employees.
  4. The method proposed to carry out the dismissals the period over which they will take place and any agreed procedures that are in place.
